Montoya had a “Heluva Good” race dominating 74 of the 90 laps ran at Watkins Glen International speedway. The Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen was held on August 8, 2010 in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Juan drove the team into victory lane from his starting position of 3rd place. Taking the lead at only lap number six. This marks the end of a 113-race winless streak for Montoya, and a new mark for Team Target… winning both The Glen and taking home the Mid-Ohio victory with the No. 10 Target IndyCar driven by Montoya’s teammate Dario Franchitti.

“This win is awesome for Target and for us as a team,” remarked Montoya. “We had a great car. We worked really hard all day. When (Marcos) Ambrose passed me, I was ok. I was really saving the brakes. The last two years here, we never had a shot at winning because I was always out of brakes. This time, we played it really smart and when it was time to go, we had the car.”

If you think the previous Car of Tomorrow updates to the legacy NASCAR car design that currently grace the track was a big transformation… this next one will blow your mind.

Well, at least for a few weeks during a summer blocker set to release July 1, 2011 (USA), directed by Michael Bay. In the upcoming Transformers 3, the Autobots and Decepticaons take on NASCAR. The guys over at Screen Rant have unearthed some cool imagery from the set, and here’s a cool video clip of the new card designs from the movie set itself!

Sunrox has designed the paint scheme for the No. 42 TARGET car competing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Sunrox has provided these design ever since TARGET became the primary sponsor of the car (and actually before it was the primary sponsor). It will be great to see the No. 42 Target up on the big screen in a sure to be summer smash! It’s sure to be featured from the looks of the insider clips from the movie set in Chicago. Speculation suggests these new bots (to the movie franchise) are the Transformer G1 (Generation One) Micromasters – Race Car Patrol (image courtesy of tfwiki.net)

Yup, advertising is arriving on Twitter. Social media advertising can connect companies to millions of active social junkies online. Advertising has been a part of MySpace, Facebook, and other social sites, but now Twitter the microblogging service. Twitter has been well known for not trying to make money. How will their 70 million plus users take this? Time will tell.

Twitter’s co-founder Biz Stone said they’ve taken their time “because we wanted to optimize for value before profit.” Twitter announced on Tuesday, April 13th that it will be introducing advertisements that allow companies to pay to have their ad messages appear when users search Tweets. These ads will be called Promoted Tweets, and will be displayed on top of the search results. These new Promoted Tweets will be tagged as such “Promoted by SPONSOR NAME” so users can identity a Tweet versus an Ad.

Apparently Sony Pictures, Starbucks and Virgin America will be participating in the roll out of Promoted Tweets on Twitter. These Promoted Tweets will be similar to paid sponsored ads which run on search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo.

This is live already. See an example of a Starbucks ad below from.
